The idea of establishing a language school is based on the importance of languages as a means of communication between individuals, peoples and nations, and as vessels carrying the thought and culture of its speakers, and the study of thought and culture is possible only through the language, which is a means of embodying it . The idea of interest in teaching and studying languages stems from the fact that they are essential tools in the occurrence of the political, economic and social movement of any people or nation, not to mention the movement of global interaction in various spheres of life, which is carried out through the direct use of language at times and through translation at others. Knowing the other today has become dependent on knowing his language to know his thought and culture and thus knowing the way to deal or interact with him. One of the measures by which the progress of any nation is measured is its progress in the field of linguistic studies, because the progress of linguistic studies in a nation of nations reflects its progress in the fields of its life, because language is a means of thought and one who has developed an idea has developed his language.

The establishment of the language school came as the third stage after two stages of teaching languages at the academy, as follows :

First / the stage of the language department as one of the Departments of the Academy:

The English and French language programs were established at the Academy in the academic year 1997-1998 within the Department of languages as one of the Departments of the academy, then the translation program was established and the first batch was accepted in the academic year 2000-2001 .

Second / The stage of the Department of languages as one of the Departments of the school of Humanities:

 The school of Humanities was established in 2002 and the Department of languages was one of its departments, and in the same year the Italian language program was established, and then the Arabic language program was established in 2003 in the Departments of linguistics and literature.

To be a center of excellence in the field of language teaching, learning, translation and scientific research.

Qualifying scientific awards that are able to meet the needs of society in the fields of Language Teaching and learning, translation and the development of scientific research while preserving our cultural specificity and our religious and moral beliefs.

1. Localization of postgraduate studies in the fields of languages and translation.
2. Providing a scientific climate for the qualification of researchers and university professors for the development of education and scientific research in society.
3. Organizing courses and workshops for professors and students to raise the level of their language and educational competencies.
4. Qualifying translators who are able to meet the needs of society in the fields of translation and interpretation.

6. Organizing scientific conferences and forums at home and participating in similar ones abroad to encourage scientific growth and stimulate dialogue and scientific and cultural interaction between peoples and civilizations.
